Projects — Public School Mom

I created about 5-6 yearbooks for PS 11 Brooklyn. This includes selecting the theme; organizing the cap and gown photos; with student goals; collecting baby photos and student art work; designing teacher pages; writing the current events page; taking photos of students and teachers at events and an overall edit of photos and writing within the yearbook. I worked directly with the assistant principal to complete this project each year.

WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP: As a Faculty Member for Sadie Nash, a nonprofit for teen girls and gender expansive youth, I created workshops for parents and students. The workshops revolved around self-care like journaling, yoga, etc.

MAGAZINE WORKSHOP: I led a summer magazine journalism workshop for girls. I wanted this workshop to be fun and not feel like they had a class assignment. I worked with the girls to share their interests. Some girls were into music, poetry, fashion, education and politics. The final issue of the magazine represented that and the girls were able to proudly share what they wrote and what they learned in the workshop.
